Bathroom Tile Installation
Bathroom Tile Installation
The most important step to bathroom tile installation is everything that happens before your tile is laid. ELJ Tile takes pride in the preparation work needed to make your shower completely waterproofed, and safe of mold and mildew. When the tile is laid and the finishing touches are added, you'll be glad you invested in a tile contractor that is knowledgeable in what they are doing!
Our Process
Step 1 - Demolition
Bathroom demolition is a huge task and often underestimated. ELJ Tile, will begin demolition by removing existing tile and board, prepping the new space with a flat surface, and preparing the space with all needed studs.
Step 2 - Waterproofing
Next step is waterproofing. ELJ Tile will install waterproof board and cover all screw holes and seams. This will ensure a water tight seal preventing mold and mildew in your space.
Step 3 - Setting The Tile
Once you have chosen your layout, the tile is laid using thin-set mortar. If your chosen tile/project permits, ELJ Tile will use self leveling clips.
Step 4 - Grouting
After the thin-set mortar has dried, we will finish by grouting your entire project. ELJ Tile uses 100% silicone caulk in all expansion joints. Your project is finished!
